Arnica is a mountain plant grown mostly in North America and is also known as mountain daisy. It has a long history of herbal use and is commonly used for the external treatment of bruises, sprains, muscle soreness and stiffness. It has general anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving and antiseptic properties and a wide range of uses. It is therefore, ideal as a first aid remedy which helps to reduce bleeding and swelling. The tincture can be used to make a healing solution using a few drops in a cup of water and applied as a compress.

Arnica may also be used internally, in the form of a tea, to treat physical and emotional shock and may be used after accidents, injuries or whilst suffering a bereavement. Two cups a day for three days is the recommended maximum allowance.

Arnica has also been used in the treatment of heart conditions, epilepsy, sea sickness and as an immune booster. It may also be of use as a hair growth stimulant.

100ml 1:3 Alcohol Volume 25%. Take 10 - 15 drops 2 x daily.
