The juicers listed below include both types of juicer commonly found on sale today, the masticating variety and the centrifuge variety. Masticating juicers work with a crushing action and literally squeeze the juice from the produce whereas the centrifuge juicers spin the produce round at high speeds against a grater which allows the juice to pass through.
The high speeds of these centrifuge juicers make them unsuitable for wheatgrass and other foods where you are trying to preserve the high levels of live enzymes but they do make excellent fruit & vegetable juicers and the ones we have listed for sale are in our opinion some of the best on the market.
The masticating juicers are capable of juicing both wheatgrass and other fruits and vegetables because of its slower operating speeds. Less speed means less heat which preserves the enzymes present in wheatgrass and other fresh foods thus increasing shelf life of the juice.
