Using
a computer-controlled sensor to check the temperature
60 times per second, this dehydrator creates a stable
drying environment for food, flowers, and herbs. It
generates 550 watts of power and comes with six stacking
trays--a total of 12 square feet of drying space. The
dehydrator's thermostat adjusts from 93 degrees F up
to 150 degrees, offering the flexibility needed to dry
meat, seafood, poultry, fruits, vegetables, jerky, granola,
and even potpourri and sachet (great for gifts).
Instructions
and drying times for all these items and recipes employing
dried foods are contained in a booklet accompanying
the dehydrator. The device is made of plastic and measures
10-1/2 inches high when all six of the 17-by-11-inch
trays are stacked and the cover is in place. Trays need
to be hand washed and the base wiped clean. The dehydrator
carries a 12-year warranty against defects.
