Camu-Camu fruit has the highest recorded amount of natural vitamin C known to man.

The Camu-Camu fruit usually contains about 5 to 6% naturally occurring vitamin C. By standardizing Camu Camu powder extract, we can attain over 20% naturally occurring vitamin C. Compared to oranges, Camu Camu contains 30 times more vitamin C, 3 times more niacin, 10 times more iron, double the amount of riboflavin and 50% more phosphorus.

Virtually all vitamin C supplements are actually ascorbic acid, potassium ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate and/or calcium ascorbate. These laboratory- produced products are not natural vitamin C. They are chemically synthesized molecules and are often made from genetically modified corn sugar. Synthetic vitamin C does not contain the many benefits found in 100% natural vitamin C.

Although the Camu Camu fruit has a sour taste, it has been made into drinks and ice cream products in local growing areas. Camu Camu also contains calcium, beta-carotene, protein, leucine, thiamin, valine and serine. It is believed that Camu Camu can help fight free radicals due to its high antioxidant properties. .
